I Am Giving Away This Entire Christmas Haul To One Lucky Reader

Christmas shopping is not something I have been particularly fond of over the years.  I don’t do big crowds and crazy busy at the shops during Christmas season doesn’t make for a pleasant shopping experience.

When I was asked by Brisbane Airport to take on their shopping challenge to see if I could buy Christmas gifts for my family at their Domestic Terminal I thought that sounded like a fun idea as I knew I wouldn’t have to deal with the crazy Christmas crowds. I had a budget of $300 and my goal was to try and buy a few things for my husband, 11 and 8-year-old daughters and 4-year-old son.

I am often flying to Sydney and Melbourne for work and have spare time at the airport while waiting for my flights so it didn’t sound like a crazy idea to me.

Now as much as I would LOVE to keep all of the things I bought, as I know my kids would LOVE them for Christmas, I am giving them away below to one lucky reader so stay tuned to see some of the awesomeness I bought.

Initially I was thinking it was going to be tricky to buy all of the things at the airport because there wouldn’t be enough options but I was pleasantly surprised. In fact, it felt to me like the retailers had done the job of picking all of the good things so I wasn’t having to filter through all of this stuff to find something decent that I know my kiddos will love.

So, what did I end up getting?!

For Miss 11, flamingos are a thing!! So I managed to pick up this awesome giant Beanie Boo flamingo from Zoodle, a Dork Diaries book (her favourite series) from Watermark Books and a unicorn lip balm from Aero. You got to be happy with that! For Mr 4, I picked up some Justice League Hot Wheels (he will never have enough Hot Wheels) from Zoodle, some awesome balloon ball dinosaur thing you can blow up really big from Aero and a vintage video game player from Typo that has 240 different games you can play on it. I know the two girls would be taking their turns of this but I loved the fact that it wasn’t connected to the internet and had some awesome games the kids could play from my childhood!

For Miss 8, I bought a super cute Bobble Art lunch box carrier from News Travels, a peach squishy and llama shower cap, both from Typo.  These are cute and quirky and I know my girls would LOVE these.

And lastly for my husband I got some Star Wars cotton boxer shorts from Peter Alexander (he is a big fan boy of Star Wars) and the Barefoot investor book from Watermark Books which has been something he has wanted to read for a while.

So, if you are in or around the Brisbane Airport in the lead up to Christmas don’t discount that you can get some fantastic Christmas gifts for your family without the crazy crowds!!

Now onto our awesome competition.

What a wonderful idea to do a ‘quick Christmas shop’ whilst meandering about the airport and playing the waiting game ? ? this shopping ? haul!

Wow!! I had no idea so much stuff was available at an airport!! We haven’t had a flying holiday in a long time. I may just be changing where I’m shopping this Christmas! 😉

  3. I would dearly love to win this and pass the presents onto a family that are homeless and in need at this time of the year.
Thank you kindly for your generosity ??
