Shrek Review

Shrek is one of those movies that became almost an instant classic, getting rave reviews and millions of fans right from the box office start.

With an all-star cast and a compelling storyline for both kids and adults, Shrek will no doubt be a standard in home movie collections. There is enough colorful humor to keep parents amused and the action packed story holds the attention of younger viewers, making it a great experience for everybody.

Shrek is an ogre who is not too fond of anyone but himself, and enjoys living alone in a swampy land. When his home is overrun by fairy tale characters, he makes a deal to get his home back by promising the Lord Farquaad (voiced by John Lithgow), ruler of the land Dulac, he will find the princess Fiona and bring her back to be married to the lord. Then and only then will Lord Faruquaad call off his army of fair tail characters.

Shrek (voiced by Mike Myers) and his sidekick donkey friend ( voiced by Eddie Murphy) make a hilarious team and make for some pretty ridiculous moments. The story stays interesting and the animation is not to shabby.

When Shrek and Donkey finally reach the princess and start heading back to Lord Farquaad, it becomes apparent that Shrek might just be the true love the princess has been waiting for, and that’s definitely the way this story should end.

Being a mum to 3 kids (one of them full time at home with me) and trying to juggle everything became pretty crazy.
