Over Half a Million Australian Cars Contain Potentially Deadly Airbags

More than half a million Australian cars could be recalled to have replacement parts fitted due to a deadly airbag fault which is already resulted in six deaths overseas. 

An airbag defect that sprays shrapnel on impact has killed six people overseas.

Last week Japanese company Takata announced more than 100,000 Australian cars would be affected, but last night admitted the problem is much worse that it first thought.
