Do You Know About This Family Resort In Brisbane?

To be honest I wasn’t expecting Eight Mile Plains in Brisbane to be a place I would think about for a fun holiday experience but Brisbane Holiday Village is the perfect place for a family stay if you’re visiting relatives in the area or need to have access to the best of both worlds of Brisbane and the Gold Coast.  Nestled right near the fantastic shopping and entertainment district of Garden City Shopping Centre it is just 15 minutes from the heart of Brisbane City and only 30 min from Dreamworld, Movieworld and the many attractions of Coomera, just north of the Gold Coast.

It is one of Queensland’s most affordable holiday parks for a family stay and some of the highlights include a wide variety of different types of accommodation for different budgets, the Lagoon of the Sun pool and swimming area, the Lagoona Resort Restaurant that’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a host of other fun activities for the kids and family….Oh and did I mention that it is a stone’s throw from Garden City one of Brisbane’s largest shopping and family entertainment hubs.

The accommodation ranges from generous tent and campervan sites all the way up to the spacious private penthouse cabins that sleep up to eight .   Other accommodation options include a variety of cabins for different budgets sleeping between 4 and 6, and powered and en-suited tent sites. We were fortunate enough to stay in one of the Vogue cabins and for five of us (2 adults and 3 kids) there was definitely enough room and the single level two bedroom villa was almost brand new and well equipped with a generous self contained kitchen, bathroom, ensuite, air conditioning, deck and carport.

Our three kids aged 12, 9 and 5 had a great time swimming in the lagoon pool, which also has a toddlers play pool, played putt putt about five times at the mini golf park, and our 5 year old loved the kids playground.  In the resort style lagoon pool area there are BBQ’s and private cabanas ans there are also a number of other areas on site for a relaxing BBQ with the family or to host some visitors.  There was also the option of a concrete bike path through the village, a multi-purpose sports field, tennis court and all weather table tennis tables. As a family we also took advantage of some time out in the villages welcome lounge for a free coffee and a chance to get some fun family snaps at the photo booth.

Overall we would highly recommend Brisbane Holiday Village as a place to take your family for a hideaway in the city, or for a place to stay while visiting family or the many attractions of the region  There is so much to do for kids in the one location and they go out of their way to make it comfortable, welcoming, relaxing and fun for everyone.

Being a mum to 3 kids (one of them full time at home with me) and trying to juggle everything became pretty crazy.
