Super Easy Origami Dog Craft (from things you’ll already have at home)

0

In support of the national Million Paws Walk this weekend we thought we would do a dog craft …

This is a really easy craft that you can do with your kiddos. Better still you can customise your dog with spots, markings or colours to replicate either your own dog or a favourite dog from a book or movie.

Much to my kids’ disgust, we don’t have a dog (yet) so we are going to do some characters from one of our favourite books, Hairy Maclary.

You will need a square piece of paper, felt pens & google eyes (optional)

Step 1

Fold your square piece of paper in half diagonally to form a triangle

Step 2
Fold each corner down to form the dog’s ears.  You may want to use a little glue or sticky tape so that the ears stay down.

Step 3
Fold up the remaining point of the triangle to form the dog’s snout

Step 4
Use the felt pens to draw on the eyes (or glue on the google eyes if you have them), nose and mouth

Step 5
Draw on any other markings or features you would like your dog to have

My kids loved the simplicity of this craft – I hope yours will too!
