4 Laundry Hacks We LOVE

0

I love a bit of simple organisation, especially in the laundry where, whether we like it or not, we spend a lot of time!

The Department of the Lost Socks

Singles socks! It is one of life’s great mysteries … How can five pairs of socks go into a wash and only seven come out. Fortunately they always turn up in the end and if they don’t they make great puppets. This is a cute idea for keeping track of those solo socks … Think of it as laundry Tinder 🙂

Separating Lights from Colours

There are just so many systems online and even many mums saying it doesn’t matter … But I still separate the light from the darks in my washing. We just built a new laundry so we put in oversized drawers for each of the types of washing but if you don’t have that you can make a system really easily using in normal washing baskets and some aluminium angle and a few screws. Fitted inside a bookshelf or an old set of drawers.

I like the idea of being able to remove the baskets to carry them back to bedrooms etc

Loose Change & Buttons Jar

How often do you find loose change in the pockets of your close before you throw them in the washing machine? It happens all the time in our place and we store away and use of a touchup money your treat although my kids are clever enough to start leaving money in their purpose if they can get something out of it hehe.

Putting Away Help

I love to try to help my kids learn to put away their own washing as early as possible. It’s such a simple job if they know everything goes and I found this great idea which makes it easier for them to do the work for me 🙂 they even have free templates and all the instructions so check it out.
