3 Great Video Making Apps for School Holidays

0

Keeping the kids occupied and happy is always fun at home in the holidays … this week we have let them loose with 3 great apps for making videos.

1. Stop Motion

Making stop motion videos can be really fun and it doesn’t have to be Wallace and Grommit quality. You basically just take a still image, move the set or characters a little and take another shot. The app takes care of the hard work. Its important to keep the camera still for scenes so we just supported it against a chair or wall.

iOS: Stop Motion Studio – https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/stop-motion-studio/id441651297?mt=8

Android: Pic Pac Stop Motion – https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tv.picpac&hl=en

2. Making Movie Trailers

Another great idea is making a movie trailer and there are some great apps to help make it look professional. It costs a few dollars but we found it hard to beat iMovie on the iOS devices. It really guides them through the process nicely.

iOS: iMovie ($6.49) – https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/imovie/id377298193?mt=8

3. Movie FX

These apps are just a bit of fun and basically allow you to add some amazing effects to real life video. The kids love it 🙂
